ILAC - the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - was formed more than 30 years ago to aid international trade by seeking international agreement between national accreditation bodies such as UKAS in the UK, COFRAC in France and A2LA in the USA (to name a few). The objective being that a UKAS accredited laboratory in the UK could calibrate equipment, under it's accreditation in the UK, for an end user elsewhere in the world and have that accepted as an equivalent to the local national accreditation body. This is particularly useful for companies that wish to offer a centralised calibration facility from one country that supplies services to a wider area.

Caltest Instruments is now able to display the ILAC mark in addition to the UKAS mark to promote the fact that we offer UKAS accredited calibration services internationally as well as to our domestic customers here in the UK.
