Since 1976, the German company ZAHNER-elektrik is developing and manufacturing innovative high-precision instruments such as electrochemical workstations, potentiostats, and galvanostats for all kinds of electrochemical applications. Throughout these years Zahner instruments have developed to be the first choice for laboratory equipment in many areas of university and industry research. Our multi-disciplinary team of developers is always in contact with users and at the same time at the front line of technology. All Zahner instruments are completely "Made in Germany". We give great importance to precise manufacturing, thorough testing and accurate calibration of all instruments before they leave our factory.

Electrochemical Workstations

Zahner's ZENNIUM series are modular potentiostat/galvanostat workstations with built-in frequency response analysers for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The ZENNIUM X offers FRA up to 12 MHz with ±4 A and ±32 V compliance, the ZENNIUM PRO covers up to 8 MHz, and the compact ZENNIUM XC provides EIS capability up to 5 MHz — supporting battery research, corrosion studies, fuel-cell characterisation and materials science.

Power Potentiostats & Electronic Loads

External PP-series power potentiostats (PP212, PP222, PP242) extend current capability to ±40 A for high-current battery and fuel-cell testing, connected through the EPC42 interface card. A single ZENNIUM workstation can address up to 16 external power potentiostats or electronic loads for multi-channel and multi-electrode experiments.

Photoelectrochemistry

Zahner also supplies light sources, monochromators and CIMPS systems for photoelectrochemical and photovoltaic measurements including IMPS and IMVS, used in solar-cell and water-splitting research.
